Welcome to the Dawghouse. I am a little pissed off right now because I didnt get to watch Smackdown last night because of the Detroit Pistons game last night that was on UPN. Well first off I like to say is that WCW president Bill Busch will appoint a new commissioner in WCW as early as this Monday night to help keep the Powers that Be and the nWo from running the company. No one knows who will be appointed yet but the name being mention is the Nature Boy Ric Flair. It will be a good move considering WCW is in horseman country Monday night. More WCW news and notes is that look for Scott Steiner to be named Kevin Nash?s partner in the Lethal Lottery Tournament. Scott is not at 100% so look for Nash to wrestle most of there matches. Earnest Miller will have surgery performed on his injury ankle. He hopes he can return to the ring by February. Bill Goldberg is the Wrestler that pull in the top ratings of 1999, what I don?t get is that 8 of the first ten come from WCW but they continue to get pummeled in the ratings each week. To see the complete list and to find out where your favorite wrestler is click here Reminder that the Eve of Destruction Television Special will air this tonight at 11 PM Eastern time on the U.S.A. Network. The WWF Special will air until 30 seconds past midnight. Smackdown last night recieved a 4.8 rating. Here are Some news and notes from the Ross report in my own words. -The British Bulldog injured his legs and back when the car he was changing a flat tire on slipped off the jack. He should be back soon. -The Boss Man is still recovering from a concussion, he will miss the house shows for this week but should be back by Monday. -D-lo Brown suffered a hairline fracture near his shoulder blade and will miss a few days/weeks. -Mark Henry will have an MRI this week to see if he will need surgery. JR also mentioned that the Undertaker has been training and a return to the ring is possible at Royal Rumble depending on the groin tear. Taker has also lost some weight as JR reported is around 310-315. On the last note it is not etched in stone that Tazz will compete in the Royal Rumble. But the former ECW heavyweight champion will start with the WWF sometime after the new year. That is all for today and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year. |
Welcome to the Dawghouse for the second edition of the news and rumors, not much today to report so on with the news and rumors. Remember WCW airs a "Best of Nitro" program tonight on TNT. They will air the first appearances of Scott Hall and Kevin Nash on Nitro, Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit, Ric Flair's return to Nitro after a long absence, and Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan from the Georgia Dome. According to Bob Ryder, Scott Hall will undergo surgery next Monday. As reported before, Hall is getting surgery on his knees to remove bone chips. Hall will be receiving the surgery from Dr. Jim Andrews. Raw beat Nitro 5.8 to 2.5 with Raw having a 9.1 overnight share and Nitro with a 3.9 share. ECW scored a solid 1.1 rating on their Christmas eve show this past Friday. That is good to here as I believe that is there highest rating ever. For those who care about the Raw and Nitro hourly ratings and also the weekend shows click here The WWF NO WAY OUT PPV scheduled for February 27th in Hartford, CT (Civic Center) tickets will go on sale January 8th. It looks like the Royal Rumble winner will still get a title shot at Wrestlemania. The Rumble main event is likely to be Cactus Jack vs. Triple H. Which means the two people that have the best chance winning the rumble are The Rock and The Big Show. It will most likely be The Rock because it is already speculated for a Rock vs. Triple H main event for the title at Wrestlemania That is all today like I said not much to report so until next time c?ya.

Welcome to the Dawghouse. This site is dedicated to bring you the latest in Professional Wrestling. This is a site the will only give you the most reliable wrestling news to keep you up to date on the current happenings in wrestling. Well to start off I would like to say the Nitro and Raw were average last night. Nitro was a little better because I was totally fooled about Scott Steiner (I know I was not the only one). While Raw was pretty much the same thing as past weeks and is starting to get really boring. Another reason Scott Hall was off Nitro last night was because he did a babyface promo against company wishes on Thunder. His promo was edited off the show. We found out on Nitro last night that Bret Hart will defend the WCW World Heavyweight Title against Sid Vicious in the main event of Souled Out on January 16, 2000. Also Chris Benoit will challenge Jeff Jarrett to a "Triple Theater" at the PPV that will consist of three specialty matches. The matches will be a Marathon Match, where the most pinfalls in 30 minutes determines the winner. A Bunkhouse Brawl, and a Caged Heat cage match. And apparently the whole Scott Steiner retiring on Nitro was just a hoax as Stenier fooled everyone and join the NWO. This is great to hear as Big Poppa Pump is one of the best heels in WCW and is great to see him back. And the last WCW news to report is that last nights Nitro will be the last 3 hour show as it will be cut to two hours from 8:00 to 10:00 which means Raw will run unopposed from 10 to 11. On to WWF news now and it seems that RAW was not great with only a few things standing out such as Mankind "firing" from the WWF. I am pretty sure this is not the last we will see from Mick as the scheduled main event at the Royal Rumble is Triple H vs. Mankind for the WWF title. The Eve of Destruction Television Special will air this Friday night at 11 PM Eastern time on the U.S.A. Network. The WWF Special will air until 30 seconds past midnight. All ready scheduled to be shown is Mankind vs. Undertaker in Hell in a Cell. Austin vs. McMahon in a Cage Match. The Rock vs. Mankind in a Last Man Standing Match. And, of course, the match of the year the infamous Ladder Match between the Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian! That is pretty much all I have to report remember to test your knowledge on WWF Trivia So untill next time c?ya |
